IBARAPA — Aides and associates of Sarafa Olaoniye have lauded his hands-on approach to service and grassroots engagement as he turns a year older today, May 18.
In a joint statement released in Ibarapa, the group described the native of Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency as a leader who prioritises results over rhetoric. They said his influence stems from staying close to the people and following through on commitments across the constituency.
“He doesn’t operate from a distance. Whether it’s a community project in Ibarapa Central, an education support request in Ibarapa North, or a mediation between groups, he gets involved and ensures something moves,” the statement read.

According to the aides, Olaoniye’s interventions have been consistent in areas that directly affect daily lives of people within the federal constituency. These include support for small businesses, youth skills programs, and quiet assistance to families facing financial strain.
They also pointed to his role in maintaining cohesion within political and social structures in Ibarapa. They credited him with mediating disputes, encouraging dialogue, and pushing for a more collaborative approach to decision-making.
Family members described him as calm, disciplined, and loyal. They said his generosity is deliberate but low-profile, often extended without publicising it.
“He listens first, then acts. If he can’t help directly, he explains why and finds another way. That’s why people trust him across Ibarapa Central and North,” one associate said.
The statement added that Olaoniye’s temperament and network place him in a strong position to take on broader responsibilities for the benefit of the constituency.
