Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and gubernatorial aspirant, Dr. Gbenga Adegbola (rtd.), has advanced his consultative tour of the state’s geopolitical zones with a strategic engagement of party leaders and stakeholders in Ogbomosho.
The Saki-born retired Colonel and business mogul noted that his governorship ambition is anchored on building an inclusive and people-driven administration that will cut across all seven geopolitical zones of Oyo State.
“APC is on the verge of reclaiming governance in Oyo State. Our collective effort, unity, and commitment are needed to make this happen. Beyond aspirations and ambitions, we must see ourselves as one big family.”
He added “I am not only qualified to occupy the exalted office of Governor, I am offering myself to serve with sincerity of purpose in advancing inclusive governance. Irrespective of where the candidate emerges from, our focus must be on delivering desirable developments and ensuring economic sustainability for our dear state.”
Highlighting his wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors, Adegbola assured stakeholders of his capacity to transform Oyo State.
“With my background in security, business, and governance, I am ready to explore the state’s hidden treasures. We must prioritize health, education, agriculture, security, and other key sectors for the benefit of all.”
He, however, appealed for the support of party leaders to secure the APC ticket ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that unity within the party would be the foundation of victory.
In their response, the stakeholders commended Dr. Adegbola’s vision and his commitment to strengthening party cohesion. They described his ambition as noble and his intentions for the state as enviable, assuring him of their support when the time comes.
